Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman has been an outstanding professor of psychology since 1993, and the director for the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She was widely credited with establishing the current study of memory recall by eyewitnesses, and the role of children in witnessing. Prof. Goodman has published widely, received many grants and has been awarded numerous national and international distinctions. She has worked with various government agencies and governments across the world regarding policies and research concerning child victims in the legal system. She currently acts as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a fellow of many professional organizations including The Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychological Psychology of Traumatic Stress and Women 56). Professor Goodman is a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a Founding Member and International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as president of the The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child policy and practice.
